Sean Healen

Sean Healen is a PROLIFIC New Mexico-based, award-winning singer/songwriter.
With music and lyrics reminiscent of Leonard Cohen and Steve Earle, his style is at once intricate and eloquent. Sean is rapidly achieving the national stage.

2009 His album “Floodplain” won in the category of Best Rock CD at the New Mexico Music Awards. “Floodplain” was produced by multi-platinum record producer, John Kurzweg.

2011 “Crown Of Coal” was produced by Grammy winner and legendary producer, Malcolm Burn. The title track, ”Crown Of Coal”, charted at #23 on the Jambands chart in August 2011.

2012 Sean appeared as the musical guest on Stephen Michael Quezada's, "After After Party" along with special guest Wes Studi on bass guitar.

2013 Sean received the honor of escorting the legendary Pete Townshend to the stage to receive the Les Paul Award.

2014 Winner of the "Whisper to a Dream" song contest sponsored by Sennheiser, Impulse Groove Foundation and Harmony Central. In addition, Sean was a featured extra in Seth Macfarlane's movie, "A Million Ways to Die in the West".

2015 Sean performed for Adam Sandler's "Ridiculous Six" kick-off party and was one of his doubles in the movie.

2017 Sean was chosen to be a finale guest vocalist at the first ever New Mexico Platinum Music Awards.

2018 Recent singles produced by multi-platinum producer, Scott Mathews at Tikitown Studio feature special-guest Chuck Prophet on lead guitar and backing vocals. The single, "Crashing", was released in May.

John Hiatt, Michael Franti, Chuck Prophet, Kelly Joe Phelps, The BoDeans, The Gourds, Willy Porter, Jackie Greene, James McMurtry, Kent Blazy, Junior Brown, The Flatlanders, Jay Boy Adams, Sons Of Fathers, Guitar Shorty, Ian Moore, John Fullbright and Ryan McGarvey.
